Don't we all make mistakes? I mean, is it an epiphany that people aren't perfect? Did someone finally send out a tweet or a Facebook update notifying the world that people aren't perfect? Why is it so hard sometimes to admit to mistakes? This is a pet peeve of mine.

I was reading an article earlier about the fears some have out in Silicon Valley concerning whether or not they will become like the auto industry. The fear is that since a lot of overseas tech companies and governments have been investing heavily in science, math and technology, that these U.S. companies will be left behind. They're not asking for a bailout yet (or anywhere close), but these tech leaders are certainly thinking ahead.

Despite the recent attention brought to the idea of making school more personal by spending additional state monies into creating schools within schools, one needs to look at the reasons why schools are not connecting with students. by Randy Speck
